Oluwatobi Wande Ojosipe is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and a stage performer born on 18 October 1985. Professional known with his stage name Wande coal, his genre of music is mostly afrobeats, R$B, hip hop, coal hit track ololufe is being known as the best love song in africa, oluwatobi is from the family of mr Ibukun olufunto and mrs omolara oluwayemisi Ojosipe the family reside in Lagos island in Nigerian, Wande is the first born of two he have a sibling named towa ojosipe.
Personal Life
Coal first son joseph was born by his baby mother tolulope ogunnusi while is second son king coal jr was born with is wife chinemerem, they did their wedding on November 18, 2017, the wedding is not that wide is just family and friend he did not shared much about his wife and family for a security purpose.
Education
Wande coal studied in staff nursery and primary school at ijanikin in Lagos Nigerian and continue in federal government college ijanikin for his secondary education then later proceeded to the university of Lagos unilag where he own a degree in human kinetic.
Career
Wande Coal started music at the age of seven as a choir boy in his church where he also got some ideas in instruments like drums and keyboard he entered into the Nigerian scene as a dancer later got signed into Mo’ hits record by Don jazzy in the year 2006. He featured D, banjo in his debut album rundown, the album contain singles such as loke, why me, and many others, the project was very tremendous and it gained him a higher position in mo’ hits label. Wande released a trending track titled ololufe which was recorded as the best love song being written by a Nigerian music star the hit boast everywhere in Nigerian and across Africa he later dropped an album cv(curriculum vitae) ololufe being the lead single.
In 2010 coal won the African artist of the year in Ghana music of the year
Still in 2010 he won the best R&B/hip hop single at hip hop world awards.
Wande Coal has work with so many talented superstars like wizkid, Davido, d princes d, banje tiwa savage rekado bank, partoranking, don jazzy and many others, talking about Nigerian music scene today you can’t rate coal as an upcoming, there are many legends but he’s another one.
In 2012 coal was signed a deal with Don jazzy in his new label Mavin along side with tiwa savage, D, princes, korede bello, Dija, rekado bank. In this label they all work as a team, always releases a group songs such as dorobucci, looku looku, adaobi, jantamanta. And coal verse is always great. He later left Mavin in 7 November 2013, dropped a hit baby face still in 2013 he launched his own label diamond entertainment.
Beyond that Wande coal has be releasing a hit songs since he owned his label rue-key Nla in 2017, in 2029 he work with the producer mervitto on the track again, 2021 he dropped another track come my way Nike up with Olamide in 2022 on the song hate me.
