Reekado hails from Ondo State Yoruba by tribe he grew up in a Christian family his father is a pastor while his mother a caterer, Reekado elder brother is a producer who aid him in vocal training he was the one who producer most of his songs and connect him to Mavin by uploading some of his songs to Don jazzy page, it was amazed to him cause his brother did it without his notice, in 12 February which don jazzy admit him, he dropped a song titled “Turn It Up, featured tiwa savage.
Turn it up, became first track under Mavin Records, later then collaborate with Mavin all stars for the songs “Dorobucci, “looku looku, “Adaobi, the music star have work with so many artist in Nigerian both wizkid, tiwa savage, Don jazzy, Wande coal, Reekado later depart from Mavin on 7th, December 2018, after five years and move on to sign a deal with Globacom for distribution also launched his own personal label known as Banks music.
He released his studio album spotlight on 1st, September 2016, and it appears to be number 10 on billboard world albums chart.
