Early Life


Houston, Texas, is where Don Toliver was born and reared. He was born in the United States on the 12th of June, 1994. He was born to Carla Toliver (mother) and Anthony Toliver (father).
Before releasing music in 2017, he had no prior musical expertise. 
Don Toliver‘s father, a rapper who was active in the Swishahouse scene in the early 2000s, frequently played music when he was growing up. 

Career

Don Toliver started his career when he made a Playa Familia mixtape with Yungjosh93. The solo singles Diva and I Gotta were released by him at the end of the year. He joined Atlantic Records, We Run It Entertainment, the record label of rapper Chedda Da Connect, and Artist Partner Group in March 2018. In addition, he released Make Sumn and Checks in the first few months of 2018. 
Don Toliver released the song Holdin’ Steel with Dice Soho in July 2018. A music video was also available for the song. A music video for the song Diamonds and his major label debut mixtape, Donny Womack, was made available on August 2
On August 3, 2018, Travis Scott released Astroworld, his third studio album, featuring him on the 13th track, Can’t Say. Later, a video featuring the single was released along with it and was sponsored by Yves Saint Laurent. Don Toliver has signed with Travis Scott‘s Cactus Jack imprint label, it was revealed on August 6. 

He participated in the music video for Nav‘s song Champion, which Travis Scott was featured on, along with Sheck Wes, and Gunna. Rapper Kevin Gates later reworked his song Diva in September.
Don Toliver released several singles through the Cactus Jack label in 2019 after his performance on Astroworld, including Back Up with Wiz Khalifa, Best You Had, Can’t Feel My Legs, and No Idea. After some time, the song No Idea on the social media and video-sharing site TikTok went viral. 
He joined Travis Scott for the second Astroworld Festival in November of 2019. The music video for his song Can’t Feel My Legs was made available on December 13. 
The compilation album JackBoys, including Don Toliver and other Cactus Jack members, was released on December 27. The tracks Gang Gang with Sheck Wes, Had Enough by Don Toliver featuring Quavo and Offset of the hip-hop group Migos, and What To Do? by JackBoys and Travis Scott all feature Don Toliver as well as Travis Scott and Luxury Tax 50.


The song No Regrets from Don Toliver‘s appearance on American rapper Eminem‘s eleventh studio album, Music to Be Murdered By, was released on January 17, 2020. He and Sabrina Claudio were slated to open for The Weeknd on his After Hours Tour on February 21. 
Don Toliver announced the release date of his debut studio album, Heaven or Hell, on social media on March 10, 2020. Travis Scott, Kaash Paige, Quavo, Offset, and Sheck Wes all made guest appearances on the album, which was released three days later on March 13. He appeared on Nav‘s song Recap from his third studio album, Good Intentions, on May 8, 2020.
From their upcoming joint project, Escapism, Don Toliver and his DJ Chase B released a single titled Cafeteria on July 24, 2020. It features Gunna. On July 31, exactly one week later, he released the song Clap for the soundtrack of the movie F9, whose soundtrack was also released that day. The song went on to become the seventh single from the movie. 
Don Toliver and Nav appeared on the song Lemonade by Internet Money and Gunna on August 14, 2020. With a peak position of 6, the song became his highest-charting hit on the Billboard Hot 100. He appeared on Kaash Paige‘s song Grammy Week, which is on her debut studio album Teenage Fever, on the same day. 
He teased his upcoming project, titled Life of a Don, on Twitter in February 2021. Don Toliver‘s lead single, What You Need, was released on May 4. On June 18 of the following year, he released the album’s second single, Drugs N Hella Melodies, which featured his girlfriend, the American singer Kali Uchis. 
Don Toliver collaborated with Canadian singer Justin Bieber and American record producer Skrillex to create the single Don’t Go, which was released on August 20, 2021. Kid Cudi and Toliver both made appearances on the song Moon off of Kanye West‘s album Donda on August 29.
Don Toliver unveiled the Life of a Don release date and cover art on September 28. The movie Life of a Don came out on October 8, 2021. Among the artists who contributed to the album were Travis Scott, Kali Uchis, SoFaygo, Baby Keem, and HVN. 
On February 24,  Don Toliver made a second appearance with Kanye West on the song Broken Road from his album Donda 2. On April 22, he and Lil Uzi Vert made an appearance on Pusha T‘s song Scrape It Off off the album, It’s Almost Dry.

Since 2020, Don Toliver has been dating American singer Kali Uchis.
