Chike Ezekpeazu Osebuka, born January 28, 1993,
is a Nigerian singer, songwriter,
and actor better known by his stage name Chike.
He is well-known for competing in the Nigerian reality
show Project Fame West Africa and finished second
on Season 1 of The Voice Nigeria,
Chike made his acting debut in the Africa Magic
Showcase series “Battleground” as Mayoma Badmus.
Chike attended primary and high schools in Lagos State, where he was born. He then earned a degree in computer engineering after being accepted to Covenant University in Ota, Ogun State. Songs by Chike fall under the R&B and Afropop categories. He is a Nigerian singer that enjoys incorporating the Igbo language and culture into his compositions.
Early Life
Chike is one of four brothers born to Igbo parents with little or no known history. However, his parents were music lovers, and the singer admits that this influenced his desire to pursue a career in music. Chike has also described his upbringing as “strict” and disclosed his difficult parenting.
Chike has three other male siblings, but we only know of one of his brothers, Syemca, which he mentioned in an interview. Chike expressed his gratitude for his elder brother’s role in helping to boost his confidence in pursuing a career in music. Syemca is also reported to be an artist featured on 2Face’s single “Target You.”
Personal Life
Chike informed his followers that he had sold his Mercedes automobile to facilitate the publication of his second album, “The Brother’s Keeper,” before it was released. He posted an alert he had received for selling his car worth 11 million naira. Furthermore, he lightheartedly advised people to ignore him if they saw him walking along the road. Also, it’s important to note that on December 24, 2021, Chike surprised his mother with a Toyota Sienna.

Chike lives in Lagos State but hasn’t displayed his home there.

Career
Chike got signed to Universal Republic and the other top four competitors after his time on The Voice. In December 2016, under the umbrella of the Universal Republic, he released his debut single, Fancy U. A a few months later, he released a song video. He left Universal Republic in November 2017 to work as an independent artist. But since his independent label is unknown, we will expand his former record label a bit Universal Music Group owns the American record label Republic Records, which is situated in New York City (UMG). It was established in 1995 as an independent label by Avery and Monte Lipman, and in 2000, UMG purchased it. After being reorganized in 2006, the Universal/Motown Records Group’s Republic imprint was renamed Universal Republic Records before reverting to its former name in 2012.
